4 Princess Luna, Nightmare Moon
4 Corrupting Mist
4 Joke Shop
4 Night Time Eternal
3 Rickety Bridge
1 The Shadowbolts
3 Sea Serpent
2 Old Castle
4 Winter Wrap Up
3 Vinyl Scratch
2 Trixie
2 Featherweight
2 Clover the Clever
2 Balance of Harmony
2 Love is in Bloom
3 Fire of Friendship
2 Tank
2 Snails
2 Blossomforth
2 The Element of Generosity
2 Sapphire Shores
3 Mare in the Moon
2 Pish Posh
So this is my attempt at a real fun to play Nightmare Moon deck. It's a novelty deck for sure, the big problem being with Nightmare Moon is that she doesn't so much win you the game as much as forces your opponent's to make tough choices. Either get milled or lose a character.
This deck still needs lots of tweaks, but is making me think that Nightmare Moon is not a card to build a deck around. She, by herself, doesn't have an end game as much as say Chrysalis or the Flimflam brothers do. I don't want to say she isn't a very good card, but she was the first villain of the series. Her main problem is keeping her fueled. I may just wait until we finish Twilight's Destiny because it makes this card all the more better. Not only will Legend of Nightmare Moon keep her fueled, but having multiple copies of it actually provides a pretty fun win condition. Obviously with that card your goal will be to have 4 copies of them out, which generates 20 Generosity and 12 Harmony per turn, just for having Nightmare Moon out.
In the mean time, try out this deck. I still need to test it out against a human so anyone ever wants to play hit me up and we'll see if we can schedule something.
