If you watched it, what did you think?

It was everything I wanted out of season 4 in the first two episode.

I know right, I love the fact that we got to seem more of the origin of Nightmare Moon.
Also, I totally am getting some ideas of how to use the Tree of Harmony as a card. I was thinking something that required each Element to be in your discard pile.

So how is everyone enjoying the new season so far? I'm sorry that this board is not more active, I hope to get the newest cards in soon and then I'll start posting a lot more. I actually was on vacation for the last two weeks, really only letting me lurk.

Overall, the animation and the graphical effects definitely improved, especially lighting. I really enjoyed the episodes so far, even if there are problems about pacing in some moments imo (for example in Daring Don't: "Daring Do is trapped inside a temple? It's cool, blow everything up and everyone's happy in 2 minutes flat"). I like the fact that Twilight hasn't changed her attitude now that she's an alicorn. Also, the new writer did well on episode 3. But even though I liked these episodes, I'm still looking forward to see more of them based on a "slice of life" style than an adventurous one. I also hope that they manage well the "6 keys" thing, like leaving some space between those episodes, and not let them find the keys in 6 consecutive episodes. It will be a great season

I'm also hoping the 6 keys thing is maybe dispersed throughout the season and not saved for the season finale. The Daring Do episode definitely felt very rushed since they had to get a lot of the ideas out of the way and I was hoping that it was some kind of visualization of RD's fanfic.
